Mike Motta has over 30 years of experience in the corporate health, fitness and wellness industry. In 1986, Mike founded Plus One Health Management, an organization dedicated to seeing healthy results through customized on-site solutions for the individuals and organizations they serve. Plus One designs, staffs, programs and manages on-site wellness centers, fitness centers, urban spas, physical therapists, registered dieticians and professional wellness specialists for Fortune 100 clients in 200+ locations across 28 states, D.C., Canada and Puerto Rico. The business was acquired in August of 2013 by Optum, a division of United Health Group.
Mike joined EHE International as Chief Sales Officer in June of 2014. EHE is the oldest and largest Center of Excellence in Preventive Healthcare organization in the US serving over 250,000 Fortune 100 employees in every State. In his role as CSO, Mike has responsibility for the development and implementation of EHE’s sales strategy and Team leadership.
Prior to these two roles, Mike served as a Professor of Physical Education and Coach of Football and Lacrosse at SUNY/Albany. He received a Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology from Ithaca College while serving a Graduate Assistantship coaching Football and Lacrosse. He also completed three years of Post-Graduate studies in Applied Physiology at Columbia University in New York City.
Mike has served as a board member on a number of health industry councils and is currently serving as an Advisor to Bravo Wellness, LLC and The School of Public Health at The University of Massachusetts/Amherst. He is an active Volunteer Firefighter, was a Disaster Relief Volunteer for The American Red Cross with experience at Ground Zero on 9/11 and also served in NY City as a 9/11 Memorial Volunteer.
